Where do Alegria shoes come from?

Alegria Shoes were put on this earth to make our feet happy! Alegria, meaning Happiness are by far our best selling comfort shoes for women. We import our Alegria Shoes directly from sunny California where a healthy dose of sunshine has been injected into each and every style. Produced and manufactured by a company called PG Lite, these shoes, boots and sandals are packed full of comfort technology and style in equal measure. Our Alegria customers come back time and time again for alternative styles and colours. The Alegria Shoe range has been developed with technical features such as a memory foam padded footbed which moulds to the natural shape of your feet - suporting in all the right areas. The Alegria styles tht we sell all have a rocker sole which helps to alleviate the pressure on your toes and joints as you walk and also helps to promote 'proper' posture and gait.

The Alegria Foot Bed and Outer Sole

 

Slip resistant mild-rocker outsole with Alegria's patented interlocking technology.

The rocker outsole has been engineered to roll naturally - like the foot when you walk. This mild fore foot rocking action will take pressure off your heel and toes as well as encouraging proper posture and gait. The Classic rocker sole is based on a more chunky 4.5cm platform, where as the Mini rocker sole is on a slimmer 3.5cm platform. The sole unit is also flat on the bottom and is anti slip, giving you lots of stability in these shoes.

The signature footbed contains our specially-formulated soft polyurethane cork and memory foam

Alegria design and manufacture their own patented orthotic foot bed which moulds to the natural shape of your foot and offers fantastic arch support. You really feel the benefit of the memory foam layer which helps to create this 'Perfect Fit'. All our Alegria shoes come with the Alegria Medium Width foot beds. You can purchase a Wide Width foot bed separately if you need to create a little more room in the shoe. The Wide Width foot beds are slimmer than the one supplied and so creates more room inside the shoe.

Buying Advice

 

What size should I order?

Alegria shoes come in EU sizes 36,37,38 and so on. Take a look at the buying advice on the shoes or sandals you are looking at, as some times we advise people to order a size below their usual size. If you are usually a 39, then order a 38. If you have a wider foot then stay with your usual size in these instances.

Do the foot beds come out of Alegria Styles?

Yes, although we don't recommend Alegria footwear for use with your own orthotic insoles. This is because the cavity left once the Alegria foot bed is removed is substantial and has grooves for the inter locking system which secures the foot beds in place.
