The velcro fastening allows you to open the shoe wide to help with getting it on and off or for putting your own orthotic insert in and it also allows you to fasten the shoes as tight or loose as you want. Made from a lovely soft leather with a rubber sole unit, these shoes will just give you comfort day in and day out. It has a nice deep toebox so your toes won't be "crushed" in them and the insole comes out so you can put your own orthotic insert in if you need to.
