Why are Alegria Shoes and Sandals so Comfortable?
The comfort foundation of all Alegria styles is the patented inter locking foot bed. This inter locking system secures the foot bed to the outer sole. They are made from cork and loaded with soft polyurethane and memory foam with a leather cover on top. Alegria foot beds mould to the shape of your feet and provide excellent arch support.
Can I wear my own Orthotic Insoles in these shoes and sandals?
Many of our customers ask if the Alegria Styles are orthotic friendly as the foot beds are removable. We stress that although some customers have had success in using their own orthotics, the original foot beds are extremely substantial and the void left in the shoe once removed is deep, with ridges for the inter locking system. For this reason we do not recommend them for use with any other foot bed than Alegria.
